The cover exploration process starts with having fun brainstorming a handful of silly ideas around the idea of objects that represent the penis in our culture. Since the tone of the book is light and humorous, I really wanted to see what kind of ridiculous ideas would stick.

Some initial ideas are selected and a slightly tighter round is developed to see where the ideas could potentially go.

However these concepts were too busy for what they were looking for, so eventually it landed on a simple, eye-catching cover for the final product with a fun print to keep up the fun tone.

The objects that I had drawn up for a previous concept were able to live on as the interior chapter illustrations, which was a great way to bring some hand-drawn elements into the interior.

The final interiors, designed by Nayeli, turned out really well and I am really happy with how everything turned out!
